Robert Holzer
music history

Robert Holzer, music history, received his PH.D. from the University of Pennsylvania. A specialist in the music of the Italian Baroque and the Second Viennese School, he has served on the faculties of Rutgers University, Princeton University, and the University of Chicago. He taught in the Yale University Department of Music from 1997 until he joined the School of Music faculty in 2005. His work has been published in Cambridge Opera Journal, Journal of the American Musicological Society, Music & Letters, Il saggiatore musicale, Studi musicali, and he is a musical commentator for Radiotelevisione Italiana.
