What is the DMCA?

The Digital Media Center for the Arts at Yale is a multimedia facility created to establish connections between the traditional arts and the computer age. Available to all Yale students enrolled in Arts area programs, the Center’s resources include audio, video, and graphics labs, as well as studio space for recording and photography. Software for audio and video editing as well as graphics, modeling, text, and other tasks is available and updated frequently.

Equipment available for use includes Digital Video Cameras, Digital Still Cameras, Microphones and stands, Field Lighting Kits, Field Audio (DAT) Kit, Location Audio Kits, and CD Recording Kits.

The DMCA also offers free workshops where students can learn software such as Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver, as well as skills like video or still photography, lighting, and preparing images for the web.
